Client Work
Sites built for other businesses.
Hervey's Grounds Maintenance
Grounds maintenanceHervey's Grounds Maintenance is a grounds-care business based in Midhurst, West Sussex. Its site says it was established in 2023 and covers Surrey, West Sussex and Hampshire, and it lists eleven services — from lawn mowing, hedge cutting and scarifying through to fencing, landscaping and tree care.
Practical Foundry built the site: a page for each service, a page for each area covered, a gallery of recent work, and a "get a free quote" route sitting alongside a phone number for people who would rather ring.
- A page for each of eleven grounds-care services
- Location pages across Surrey, West Sussex and Hampshire
- Photo gallery of completed work
- Quote-request route alongside a direct phone number
Connorscripts
Author websiteConnorscripts is the author site of Fran Connor, described on the site as a novelist, screenwriter and ghostwriter writing across Victorian romance, contemporary thrillers and romantic mystery. The site lists eleven published novels, audiobook editions it describes as professionally narrated, and fourteen short stories that anyone can read for nothing.
Practical Foundry built it. Novels and audiobooks each get a catalogue page that links out to Kindle, paperback or Audible; the short stories are read in the browser rather than downloaded; and ghostwriting has a page of its own rather than being buried in the About section.
- Catalogue pages for novels and audiobooks
- Fourteen short stories readable free on the site
- A dedicated page for ghostwriting enquiries
- Retailer links out to Kindle, paperback and Audible

About Practical Foundry
Practical Foundry builds websites and web applications for businesses, tradespeople, authors and musicians. We also build and run our own sites — Practically Clear, our alcohol-free drinks directory and magazine, is live today — and the engineering behind those is the same engineering our clients get.
The experience behind the business runs from enterprise systems to the modern web: software engineering and technical management going back to 1995, manufacturing systems that personalised payment cards to EMV standards for MasterCard and VISA, bespoke web applications in the occupational psychology field, and the data engineering behind analytics and Power BI reporting.
Today that means Next.js, React and Supabase for new builds, with enough Microsoft-stack history — C#, Azure SQL, Power BI — to modernise a legacy system or integrate with what you already have. Three decades of building systems where being roughly right isn't good enough.
We're based near Portsmouth in Hampshire and work with both local and remote clients. Whether you need a straightforward professional site or something with more behind it — a quote calculator, a searchable catalogue, a dashboard — we'd like to hear from you.
